Best Gojo Wallpapers for iPhone (2026)

Illustration of two iPhone lock screens with a pale moon over a blue city skyline, titled “Gojo wallpapers”

White hair under a white clock is the Gojo problem, and the right look plus one setting solves it.

Satoru Gojo is a favourite subject of Jujutsu Kaisen art, and a Gojo wallpaper is one of the hardest things to put behind an iPhone clock. He is drawn almost entirely in white and pale blue, which looks wonderful in a thumbnail and awkward on a lock screen, where the clock is usually white too.

The fix is rarely a "better" picture. It is choosing the look that suits the job, then changing a setting or two.

One note first: Gojo is Gege Akutami's character, animated by studio MAPPA, and the app below and its wallpapers are not official or licensed Shueisha or MAPPA products.

The Gojo looks worth setting

Five looks cover almost every Gojo wallpaper.

The blindfold. His usual adult look: a black blindfold, with the white hair typically standing up in spikes above it. The most recognisable Gojo and the strongest lock screen portrait, if the hair stays clear of the clock.

The Six Eyes close-up. Blindfold off, bright blue eyes filling the frame. Striking, and the hardest of the five to read the time over.

The sunglasses. Small round dark lenses, most famously from his student days in the Hidden Inventory arc. The dark lenses anchor the composition.

Hollow Purple and the technique art. Blue, Red and Hollow Purple drawn as glowing spheres or bursts of energy, often with Gojo small in the frame. These carry the colour the portraits lack.

Unlimited Void. His Domain Expansion (some translations say Infinite Void), usually drawn as a vast starry space. Beautiful, but with little iOS can treat as a subject.

White hair, white clock: the legibility problem

Many anime wallpapers put a dark or saturated subject under the clock. Gojo puts white hair there: in a typical portrait crop his head fills the upper third, exactly where iOS draws the time, and a white clock over white hair disappears. Three ways round it:

  1. Change the clock colour. Touch and hold the lock screen, tap Customize, choose the lock screen, then tap the time. Pick a deep navy or black, using the colour wheel if the suggested swatches do not offer one. Navy reads cleanly over white hair and echoes the blindfold and eyes.
  2. Choose a lower crop. Art with his head mid-frame leaves the top to sky or shadow. Dragging a high crop down means zooming in, which costs sharpness, as the blurry wallpaper guide explains.
  3. Choose darker art. Night scenes and most technique art give a white clock a dark area to sit on.

Blindfold portraits and the depth effect

The depth effect lets part of the subject sit in front of the clock. iOS needs a clear subject separated from its background, and a head-and-shoulders blindfold portrait is close to ideal: a defined silhouette, a dark band across the face and, in most art, a plainer background behind him.

It can ease the clock problem too. With the effect on, his hair overlaps the time, so the parts of the digits you can still see sit over the background, not the hair. A dark background behind his head helps far more than a pale one. The catch is the spikes: if they cover too much of the time, iOS can switch the effect off, and adding widgets can do the same. The depth effect guide covers when each happens and how to get it back.

Unlimited Void art that is mostly starry space, and flat technique patterns, rarely work: with no separate foreground to lift, iOS either declines or cuts out something arbitrary.

Six Eyes and Hollow Purple on an OLED screen

On an OLED iPhone, black pixels are switched off, so true black looks genuinely black and bright colour glows against it. Most iPhones from the X onward use OLED, but not all: the iPhone XR, iPhone 11 and the SE models use LCD, where black is a backlit dark grey.

That cuts two ways for Gojo. Hollow Purple and the Blue and Red art are usually glowing colour on a dark ground, the best case an OLED panel can be given. The purple guide and the blue guide go further into those palettes, and the AMOLED roundup explains what counts as true black.

The Six Eyes close-up is the opposite. Mostly white and pale blue, it lights almost every pixel and looks harsh in a dark room. If you love the eyes, choose tight crops with shadow around the iris.

Close-ups also expose a weak file first, because the appeal is in the lashes and iris texture. Prefer 4K for any eye art.

What a live Gojo wallpaper actually does

Live Gojo art usually animates what moves in the anime: hair lifting, the blindfold being raised, energy gathering into Blue or Hollow Purple. On iPhone that motion plays for a second or two when you wake the phone, unlock it or tilt it, then holds a still frame. Nothing loops continuously, and the home screen never animates. On models with an always-on display, the idle lock screen shows a dimmed still.

So pick motion that starts and lands within that second or two, such as Hollow Purple forming. A slow scene whose best moment comes later is wasted.

Keep the Live badge intact

The motion in a Live Photo lives in a second file paired with the still. Sending the wallpaper through many chat apps, or uploading and re-downloading it, can break that pairing and leave a flat image. Save it from the app straight to Photos, then check for the Live badge before you set it.

Setting a live wallpaper has the full steps, and the Jujutsu Kaisen roundup covers live Gojo art alongside the rest of the series.

Quick answers

Why does the clock disappear on my Gojo wallpaper?

Because a white clock is sitting on white hair. Touch and hold the lock screen, tap Customize, choose the lock screen, then tap the time and pick a deep navy or black, or choose art with his head lower in the frame.

Which Gojo wallpapers are safe from manga spoilers?

The blindfold look, the sunglasses art from the Hidden Inventory arc, Unlimited Void and the main techniques all appear in material the anime has already adapted, though technique art can depict later manga fights. Be wary of manga panels and fan art tagged with chapter numbers: one late-manga image can spoil more than you want.

Does a Gojo blindfold wallpaper work with the depth effect?

Usually, yes, because a head-and-shoulders silhouette is what iOS looks for. If it switches off, check whether his hair covers too much of the time or a widget has been added.

Will a live Gojo wallpaper move on my home screen?

No. Live wallpapers move only on the lock screen, briefly, on wake, unlock and tilt. Use a still, darker crop on the home screen so app labels stay readable.

Where to get it

Anime Wallpaper 4K – Live has anime wallpapers in 4K, HD and live formats, with browsing by style, mood, colour and character type. Browsing by colour, for example white, blue or purple, is a quick way to narrow the collection, and you can save and apply wallpapers to the lock or home screen. It is free to use, with optional premium features, and new wallpapers arrive regularly.

Start with a blindfold portrait and a navy clock. It is the Gojo most likely to look the way it did in the thumbnail.
